Job description

We are offering a structured and comprehensive post-graduate program to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Neurology with a targeted start date of January 2024. The HealthPartners Neurology Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship is a 12-month long program that engages APC learners in extensive training within Neurology, as well as required rotations in specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. The APC fellow will spend a significant amount of time at HealthPartners state-of-the-art Neuroscience Center, as well as Park Nicollet Neurology clinic and Regions Hospital.

Through lectures, skills training, and simulation, didactic sessions compliment the diverse rotations and hands on experiences, offering the APC Fellow the opportunity to develop clinical competence, critical thinking skills, and interprofessional collaboration. This allows APCs to successfully integrate into the specialty of Neurology at an accelerated rate compared with on-the-job training.

Candidates must be willing to complete a 12 month training program without interruption.
Targeted start date January 2024.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program (Applicants may be in final year of completing this requirement with hiring dependent upon successful completion.)
PA or NP students completing training are encouraged to pursue at least one rotation in Neurology

Licensure/Certification Required:
Current registration to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota
Current national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
OR
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota
Current Nurse Practitioner certification
