Merchandise Allocator
(Hybrid Remote)
Location: 253 America Place, Jeffersonville, IN 47130
Position Overview:
Merchandise Allocator reports to the Merchandise Planner.
This team member is responsible for optimizing flow of product from time of buy through our supply chain. The Merchandise Analyst leads and coordinates inventory management and allocation strategies to ensure that the right products in the right stores at the right time.
Provides inventory reporting and analyzes to support business initiatives to identify opportunities/risks as well as drive business results for the Merchandising department. This role will partner with the Merchandising leadership team to improve operational & financial performance.
Primary Accountabilities/Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving sales, margin thru inventory management for several merchandise categories.
  • Build, develop, execute, and maintain allocation strategies to ensure maximum sell through and profitability on items
  • Analyze item and program productivity to ensure store turn and weeks of supply goals are met; create and develop tiered assortment for pre-buy strategies for stores.
  • Manage the execution of initial and replenishment allocations by store to optimize sales, margin, and inventory turn
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze store inventory at the style/size level, identify over and under performers, out of stocks, opportunities and provide suggestions to Planners and Buyers.
  • Develop and rescale models based upon sales trend, opportunity, size optimization and availability of inventory
  • Plan New and or Remodeled Stores opening assortments and create models to maximize sale plans
  • Analyze and monitor new stores business to ensure sufficient inventory levels for business after openings
  • Maintain replenishment parameters in the Imagine system
  • Provide attribute and cluster management for store groups, across all distribution channels
  • Maintain inventory levels in the DC.
  • Manage clearance store assortment and end of season consolidations with stores
  • Participate in the development and successful roll-out of technology advancements and process improvements.
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships and skillfully navigate / influence business decisions
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Detail oriented with elevated level of accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
