We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Mental Well-being Specialist to work for a high profile client located in Palm Beach, FL.

Job Overview:

As a Mental Well-being Specialist, you will focus on reducing stigma and building inclusivity at the workplace. Your strengths lie in your ability to motivate and engage members in their journey toward improved mental health, your preparedness to connect employees to one another, advocate for mental health, and lead with care. You will help the client build and enhance their workplace culture of inclusivity and health equity, deliver engaging educational activities, lead employee mental health training, and provide emotional well-being outreach campaigns. You will also use data and population feedback to identify opportunities for driving lifestyle and behavior change through increased population engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, develops, and delivers a range of mental health education on emotional well-being and supporting employer offerings.
  • Partners with the client, vendors, and community resources to execute on a workplace mental well-being and social determinants of health strategy that will result in improving the emotional health, connectedness, and resiliency of the employee population.
  • Organizes and conducts Mental Health First Aid training with event planning, instruction, and corresponding reporting as needed.
  • Assesses population mental health needs using employee health and lifestyle data, feedback from employees, benefit offerings, and the client to develop and deploy appropriate mental well-being solutions and programming.
  • Builds, leads, and develops the client’s Mental Health Peer Network of employees to share feedback, provide ongoing mental health training and education, and localize & expand programming to other locations and departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling, health promotion, or other related mental health discipline).
  • Three or more years of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting, Employee Assistance Plan, health promotion, health management, organizational behavior or a related field
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
  • Effective and engaging public speaking skills with the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with clients and participants.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Health plan experience.

Valued but not required knowledge and experience:

  • Master’s degree in psychology-related field
  • Training in workplace and organizational dynamics
  • Related Health Promotion or Public Health certification such as: National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) certification, WellCert Certified Wellness Practitioner, CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist)
  • Mental Health First Aid instructor certification
  • Five years of industry experience

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
