School-Based Mental Health Therapist

ACP is hiring full-time or part-time Float School-Based Mental Health Therapists who are fluent in Spanish to provide therapy to children and adolescents within a school setting. Your caseload will be located within specific schools and client homes in the Dakota County area.

ACP provides free individual and group clinical supervision from board-approved supervisors.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a master’s in behavioral health studies or a related field and are on track to become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Responsibilities:
  • Complete diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Develop therapeutic relationships to establish personal recovery goals, rehabilitative goals, and objectives with each client
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with school staff, families/guardians of clients, case managers, and medical personnel
Requirements:
  • Master's or other graduate degrees majoring in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, marriage, and family therapy, or related fields from an accredited college or university and be on track to be a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate mental stability and model appropriate boundaries
  • Timely and accurate submission of documentation of services and other documents as required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance and be willing to travel within the Twin Cities metro area.
