Exciting opportunity for a Master's level professional clinician in our Older Adults Services-OBRA program. OAS provides a range of integrated services to persons 60 years and older who experience serious and persistent mental illnesses and who either live in an independent or residential community setting or in a Nursing Home.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the OBRA Coordinator will provide compressive psychosocial assessments according to the OBRA PAS/ARR Federal guidelines. Must have strong clinical skills including assessment, diagnostic formulation and development of recommendations for treatment and least restrictive placement. Requires strong writing skills and ability to communicate clearly. Must have at least one-year experience working with individuals with a mental illness/co-occurring and/or intellectual/developmental disability diagnosis. Working knowledge/understanding of OBRA PAS/ARR highly preferred. Individual must be able to function under strict mandated timelines, have strong organization skills and work effectively with interdisciplinary team. Ability to communicate/collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, community agencies and families/significant persons. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, e.g. Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC), LMSW preferred. Limited License Professional Counselor credential will not be considered for this position. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) working with persons with mental illness required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental illness required. One year of experience working with the Older Adult Population highly preferred. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing required. Must be able to lift equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs as needed. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification, and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: Starting salary $56,005 - $63,570 annually, with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $73,502.40. Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
