For over 65 years, Blue Ridge Urological has enjoyed a reputation as a leading provider of urological services to the residents of Northwestern Virginia. The practice is based in Fishersville with offices in Lexington and Harrisonburg. This busy and successful private practice specializes in providing minimally invasive surgery, advanced procedures and proven techniques to help patients overcome urology problems quickly and comfortably.

They are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to get along with others to serve as a Medical Assistant in the Harrisonburg office. Proven dependability and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment are most important. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a successful and established practice!

This position will be responsible for:

• Rooming patients
• Reconciling patients medications
• Collecting and processing urine specimens
• Drawing and processing blood
• Administering injections (Lupron, Firmagon, Testosterone, etc.)
• Scheduling patients for surgical procedures
• Scheduling X-rays
• Obtaining pre-authorizations for surgery and diagnostic studies
• Setting-up surgical trays for procedures
• Cleaning trays and sterilizing instruments
• Returning phone calls from patients
• Other duties as requested

Applicants must have:

• Proficient computer skills
• Strong communication skills
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• 2-3 Years Medical Assisting experience
• Bi-lingual is a plus
