West Point Mill is seeking an hourly Mechanical Maintenance Technician with the ability to provide primary millwright skills for the West Point Mill.

For a Class 1 Helper:
West Point Mill is seeking an hourly Mechanical Maintenance Technician with the ability to provide primary millwright skills for the West Point Mill.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Participate in all department safety programs.
- Flexibility to work in a multi-craft role and contribute to accomplishing results in a team- based environment.
- Good understanding of the types and application of equipment lubrication.
- Effective troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals & drawings.
- Ability to properly document repairs and inspections.
- Computer skills adequate to look up bill of materials & stores parts, enter work results, and complete work orders.
- Good working knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques.
- Ability to measure, lay out, and fabricate repair parts.
For a Class 1 Helper:
- Five years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanic’s level, or
- Two-year technical degree in mechanical technology, or four years’ relevant technical military experience
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability and willingness to work shift work.
- Ten years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanics or electrician/instrumentation level – or
- Five years of relevant industrial or military experience and a two-year technical degree
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability and willingness to work shift work.
