Work directly for a Somerset County, NJ area engineering, design, manufacturing, installation and repair of industrial material handling solutions.

Mechanical Design Engineer:
Summary:
Machine design and detailing experience. Must display leadership abilities and be self-motivated. Must have a minimum of a bachelor"s degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform calculations for the stresses developed in the structural and mechanical components of overhead cranes and runway systems and machinery components.
• Generate 3D models with detailed 2D fabrication drawings, and bill of materials for overhead cranes and other material handling equipment using SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Generate 3D models for use in CNC Machining environment.
• Work with other project team members in the engineering stage of various material handling projects.
• Review customer generated drawings and specifications as they pertain to the engineering design of the equipment or system.

Qualifications:

• Computer literate with excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 2D & 3D design and detailing. Working knowledge of AutoCAD also desired.
• Bachelor"s Degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years" experience in design engineering and detailing.

Other Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience in manufacturing and Structural steel fabrication desired
• Experience in machine design, CNC Machining and programming.
• Knowledge of AWS welding specifications, and AISC steel specifications highly desirable.
• Able to work in a collaborative / team environment.
