Meat Cutter, Journey Person Grocery Retail
Job description
We are seeking to hire a friendly, energetic, and helpful person to work in our Meat Department as an experienced Journey Meat Person. In order to successfully fill this position, a candidate must have several years of retail meat cutting experience with chicken, beef, pork and fish. Excellent customer skills are necessary.
This position requires the ability to cut meat to store standards and be able to present, wrap, display, and sell meat products.- This job requires a person to work in both refrigerated spaces as well as on a retail grocery-selling floor.
- Experience on a meat saw, slicer, grinder, and cutting with knives is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally.
- Meat Journey employees must have the skills and ability to complete all work necessary to every position in the meat department.
