Job Summary:
The Marketing Specialist for Pro Staff and Events is responsible for coordinating and managing Consumer Products marketing projects associated with staff players, tournaments, trade shows, seminars, and related events. This includes managing staff player usage and skill development programs and working on projects pertaining to new product introductions including balls, bags, shoes, and accessories. When the professional tours are not in season, the Marketing Specialist for Pro Staff and Events will maintain communications with the staff players to improve social media activities and assist with videos, trade shows, seminars, and events to support the overall marketing efforts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


40%

Manages staff player needs including communications, product orders, check requests, and other administrative needs to support the staff program. Also includes attendance at some tournaments and events.


20%
Assists in sales activities including distributor and pro shop visits, trade shows, seminars, tournaments, and Brunswick Youth Experience events.


15%

Assists in coordinating staff exhibitions/appearances.


15%
Assists the marketing team with social media and video needs.


10%
Assists in the development and testing of new products including balls, bags, shoes, and accessories.

  • Extensive knowledge of the sport of bowling including coaching high level athletes, professional bowling, bowling ball design, bowling ball performance, and technical jargon
  • Strong understanding of all facets of the bowling industry including distribution and the pro shop business
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years sales and/or marketing experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pro shop operations, coaching, and competitive bowling


Education Level
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent industry experience and training
