The Director of Marketing leads a dynamic team of marketing experts in managing their branded business in developing and recommending the strategy along with all activities in managing the product line with the end user. This includes product stewardship: Monitor and support existing products, maintain differentiation, quality, competitive advantage, and industry leadership; along with the introduction of new products to provide solutions to consumers’ unmet needs. Additionally, the Director of Marketing must monitor the profitability of the overall businesses. They are responsible for driving meaningful growth and profit for their product lines.

In this role, YOU will:

  • Lead the team in developing of annual brand/business plans
  • Initiate new research as well as analyze existing research for product benchmarking and end user insights
  • Guide the team in establishing pricing and product costs for product lines
  • Manage the team in maintaining superior product quality
  • Analyze, research, and execute remedies for product performance issues, working closely with Customer Care, R&D, Color Lab and Quality
  • Participate with teams in driving new product development thru stage gate teams as marketing lead for end user insights and launch plans
  • Partner with Shared Services and guide/approve activities to generate end user demand for key product lines.
  • Encourage the team in driving a portfolio up strategy to improve category profitability and sales
  • Provide feedback and guidance to team in providing the best value proposition for their product lines
  • Coordinate the team in Developing and maintaining product road maps and future strategies for existing and new products. Advise and direct team members in new product research and development recommendations
  • Provide leadership in analyzing product sales and penetration numbers, watching for trends and spikes
  • Coach team members in creating clear goals and career paths providing the individual and the company success
  • Attend tradeshows for emerging trends and new product opportunities
  • Conduct regular store audits
  • Execute hands on product testing/application (Apps lab), field testing with cross functional teams
  • Organize competitive product landscape analysis and benchmarking at the SKU level

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's preferred
  • 7-10 years of product marketing experience
  • 5+ years of management experience, including the development of direct reports and working cross-functionally to influence decisions
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
