Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Manufacturing Project Manager to join a talented advanced electronics manufacturing team.. As a Manufacturing Project Manager, the candidate in this role will support our Electronics Manufacturing organization in the business proposal and project execution phases of electronic, electro-mechanical, and cable/wire harness product manufacturing. This position will support the development, test, and delivery of electronic products through all phases of program execution from business proposal through project execution, to product delivery. The candidate will work closely with internal and external customers, design teams and internal manufacturing resources to define manufacturing resource requirements and budget, define project execution plan and schedule, and execute the plan efficiently to the defined budget and schedule. This position will require the ability to work programmatic questions with internal/external customers and resolve technical uncertainty to keep the manufacturing effort on task. A suitable candidate for this role will be able to understand customer intent and be an effective liaison between our design and manufacturing teams in development of designs optimized for manufacturability.

As part of this position, the candidate will develop business growth opportunities and provide project management of manufacturing activities in diverse and advanced technology areas including analog/digital circuits, RF, optics, programmable logic, embedded systems, and thermal management. Experience with design for manufacturability, design for test, design for MIL-STD, and experience with engineering documentation, and complex hierarchical bills of materials will be strong advantages to the candidate. A working knowledge of IPC and J-STD manufacturing standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-A61, IPC-A-620 will also be an advantage to the candidate.

Project environments at times are fast paced and quickly changing due to a variety of influences. The successful candidate will help ensure that the requirements of the Dynetics manufacturing team are well communicated and harmonized with the design requirements and needs, in all phases of the project, from proposal, through development, transition to manufacturing, and production.

Basic Qualifications

  • A technical bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university. An engineering degree is a plus. Extraordinary program/project management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Three or more years' of project management experience associated with manufacture of deliverables containing electronic or electromechanical systems. This includes experience in managing quality, delivery schedules, and cost.
  • Two or more years ‘Business development and proposal support experience including cost estimating and proposal writing.
  • Ability to establish, communicate, and manage technical project requirements and expectations with a diverse manufacturing staff with and without technical backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office tools. MS Excel expertise is a plus. MS Project expertise is a plus.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer
  • Able to walk short distances
  • Able to lift 35 lbs

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment to work and find solutions to challenges involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience qualifying and delivering electronic prototypes and production units for the DoD community is a plus.
  • Risk management, safety analysis, and test planning experience.
  • Configuration management (such as Agile PLM) and enterprise resource planning tools (such as Costpoint ERP) experience is a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
