POSITION: Manager Patient Access (Admitting / Front Registration)

JOB SUMMARY:
Manages all aspects of Patient Access. This includes organizational and operational oversight of the Patient Access Services Representatives, Admission Financial Representatives and the Call Center. Organize, communicate and maintain proper levels of staffing for Patient Access. Maintain effective and efficient operations, continuously emphasizing high quality customer service; Ensure that staffing levels appropriately meet the needs of the department. Provides daily leadership and guidance, direction, and motivation to the team through huddles, daily rounding and regular emails. Ensures all productivity standards are met in a timely manner through measuring and monitoring. Analyzes weekly and monthly reports for performance measurement and efficiencies. Works closely with the Revenue Cycle leaders to ensure efficiency, quality, and timeliness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate in business or College degree preferred.

• Experience with direct staff supervision preferred; healthcare setting preferred.

• Knowledge of Patient Access functions preferred.

• Thorough Knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management and workflow planning.

• Must be self-sufficient with PC software applications and related technologies.

• Ability to present information in written formats, concise and grammatically correct.

• Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.

• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
