Occupational Health Manager – St. Vincent Medical Center

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Manager oversees and directs the operations and management of the occupational Health Center(s). As the Manager of Occupational Health, this role serves as the subject matter expert and provides expertise managing and mentoring of the occupational health staff. It’s important to establish processes for continuous improvement and lean transformations in practice financial performance, productivity, patient and physician satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for achieving financial budgets, productivity, customer and patient satisfaction surveys
  • Assists in preparing annual operating and capital budgets
  • Conducts reporting on a monthly dashboard reporting on quality indicators and tracking financial performance
  • Implements high customer service standards, best practice models, and patient resolution
  • Maintains a practice environment where the physician or patient concerns are effectively addressed
  • Oversees employee health operational services: post-offer physicals, injury care management, and annual mandatory regulatory surveillance, if appropriate
  • Provides oversight to all aspects of occupational health services, in collaboration with the clinical providers
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (preferred, not required)

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (preferred, not required)

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience managing a physician practice (required)
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Health (preferred, not required)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, and decision making
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment
