Summary

Manager MQ outbound operation position is responsible for managing all freight forwarding outbound related functions and personnel. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and transportation of all customers' products and equipment to meet customer and internal delivery target while developing new business verticals.

Compensation

$95,000-$110,000/Annually

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning
  • Work closely with Hyundai Translead and carriers to provide outbound operational forecast and action plans to achieve daily/weekly/monthly/yearly objectives
  • Identify market trends and troubleshoot bottlenecks with short and long-term proposed solutions
• Process Management
  • Monitor and make action plan per KPI for each customer, carrier, and internal operations
  • Create/improve SOP and guidelines to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the team performance, interacting with other department managers, executive management team, the sales team, warehouse management and order processing to achieve established goals.
• Process management of but not limited to
  • Monitor & improve individual performance in improving Outbound shipment releases to carriers (trailer/chassis/items in trailer)
  • Monitor & improve in developing large cargo shippers ( "load-out" ) opportunities
  • In-house "Dedicated Truck" carrier management for effecient & effective carrier utillization
  • Support REPO program coordination with MQ Business Development team
  • Follow guideline to ensure appropriate AP/AR rates are maintained to achieve expected MQ profitablity
  • Monitor yard performance ( inventory dwell time ) to improve yard turn goals are achieved
• Manage, Monitor, Support Operations
  • Provide guidance and direction on operational decisions based on market conditions
  • Obtain feedbacks from customers and vendor to ensure premium level of customer service and communication is maintained
  • Accurately manage and maintain departmental administrative tasks such as accounting, budget reporting and record keeping in accordance with internal policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies
• Yard Management & Factory Outgate Control
  • Monitor yard to maximize usage/turnaround basis space availability, customer and carrier capacity
  • Ensure yard manager and staffs are tracking, inspecting, and communicating accurate information per CTPAT guidelines
  • Work closely with IT to continuously troubleshoot and improve TMS and YMS system
  • Maximize daily/ weekly/ monthly HT outgate performance to surpass periodic goals
• Other Functions
  • Facilitate for customers, carriers, and admin on questions, complaints, and accounting discrepancies
  • Support customer and planning department with damage claim investigation
  • Coordinate administration functions required for urgent, critical parts transportation.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree
