The Manager, Demand Activation - Tradeshows sits within the Thomson Reuters, Demand Generation Activation team and is responsible for managing a team of event planners and marketers who orchestrate all aspects of our global tradeshows presence including event strategy, contracting, logistics, deliverables, reporting and all other aspects of tradeshow planning.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Manager, Demand Activation - Tradeshows, you will:

  • Lead a team of talented marketers and event planners who manage all aspects of our North American and European tradeshow strategy from concept and execution through reporting. Your team will work on some of the largest tradeshows around the globe and develop creative, modern tradeshow programs to engage our prospect and customer base.
  • Help us bring excellence to our go-to-market approach within the Tradeshow space and serve as a key leader within our Demand Activation team, coordinating with stakeholders across the business to ensure consistency with various customer segments and lines of business.
  • Lead a team of talented, dynamic marketers and work to create best practices, playbooks and strategies that we can leverage and scale.
  • Rethink what value the modern tradeshow brings to our customers and work with the team to build meaningful customer experiences while also focusing on driving efficiency and ROI within the space.
  • Lead with empathy, energy and vision, embrace a growth-mindset and coach, mentor and empower your team to succeed.
  • Stress test our own internal processes by executing a handful of tradeshows and tradeshow support scenarios on your own to get first-hand experience how Thomson Reuters customers engage with our brand.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Manager, Demand Activation - Tradeshows if your background includes:

  • 7-10+ years in tradeshow, events or demand generation for cloud-based software and/or business service providers
  • Team leadership experience, preferably in a highly matrixed organization
  • Coach and mentor at heart, you understand how to lead with empathy and develop marketing talent
  • Strong communicator, able to develop alignment with stakeholders of various understanding of the event space.
  • Creative, customer-first mindset that prioritizes creating memorable experiences for our customer base.
  • Lover of process and consistency and able to find trends, develop plans and act as a change agent to create efficiencies
  • Understanding of modern B2B event, tradeshow and demand generation best practices including integrating online and offline marketing tactics to reach, connect and convert prospects
