Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians to join our teams in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. Apartment maintenance technicians are responsible for general maintenance at the apartment community.They are also responsible for make-ready's, turns and work orders.

​Qualifications:

• At least 1 year experience in residential maintenance - apartments, hotels or private homes
• Must have personal hand tools and drill - bring to site daily; do not leave at property
• Must have reliable means of transportation - personal or public
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong Customer Service Skills

Responsibilities:

• Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
• Estimate time and extent of repairs and report back findings to Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain material and supply inventory
• Possess strong experience in the following tasks:
• Plumbing - sink/shower/toilet repair, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains (snaking when applicable)
• Electrical - replacing fixtures and switches, knowledge or proper safety protocol, rewiring when applicable
• Carpentry - patching holes, replacing doors/locks, hanging cabinetry, light touch-up painting
• Appliances - help with installation of W&D, stoves (when applicable), installing garbage disposals, small repairs
• Grounds- assisting and maintaining community grounds by picking up trash and recyclables, tending to shrubs and bushes when needed.

Must be authorized to work in the US. Competitive salary offered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
