POSITION: Maintenance Supervisor HVAC

Description of Duties: Perform various repairs involving electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Inventory and recommend supplies and equipment for maintaining area of responsibility. Supervise all work involving electrical, plumbing, and mechanical areas during remodels and renovations. Check chiller, condenser, and boiler units for effective and efficient operation. Install and monitor Campus lighting to include buildings, walkways, and parking areas. Submit trouble call reports. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Use computer-based control systems HVAC. Assist with college special events and functions. Attend meetings, seminars, or training sessions as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervise classified staff, hourly workers, and Workstudy employees assigned to heat and air maintenance area.

Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent. Vo-tech training in related area. Three (3) years' experience in HVAC maintenance including one (1) year supervisory experience or three (3) years' experience at Rose State College in a related position. Basic communication and interpersonal skills. Heavy lifting and heavy carrying required. Ability to reach above shoulders. Periods of time spent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and kneeling. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate various tools and equipment.

Desired Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent in related area. CFC Certification in Heat and Air Mechanics. Five (5) years' experience in Heat and Air Mechanic including two (2) years supervisory experience.
