Summary

Coordinates and directs the planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties. Must be flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays. Assists the Facilities department in the maintenance, repair, cleaning and safety of all guest and employee areas as well as parking lot, grounds and adjacent lots to include any off property site used by the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform supervisory duties in absence of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Direct the workforce and ensure that work orders are completed.
  • Ensure that shifts are properly covered.
  • Ensure that facility personnel observe constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
  • Advises Maintenance Supervisor of any potential problems or unusual events, to include solutions thereof.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Carries out responsibilities such as employee evaluations, records of coaching and corrective action necessary to maintain performance of the team.
  • Responsibilities include scheduling, assigning / directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • May be asked to assist in the interview and hiring process.

  • Participate in open communication and provide feedback to management regarding operations, staffing, personal development, and operational productivity.
  • Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.

Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • A High minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Any combination of education beyond the minimum requirement as well as any experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary will be considered.
  • Carry out assigned tasks and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to perform standard repairs to general machinery, equipment, structures, plumbing, air conditioning and electrical systems.
  • Must be able to work in conjunction with casino employees.
  • Ability to operate a variety of repair equipment.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Must possess a California Driver’s License and a clean driving record (less than 3 points).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
