Lube Technician Responsibilities
-
Perform lube service on equipment as assigned - provides lubrication/greasing as needed, checks fluid levels as needed
-
Perform minor repairs. Example: leaking hoses
-
Assist in loading and unloading equipment
-
Wash units before delivery when directed
-
Clean shop area as directed
-
Assist other technicians as required
-
Follow all safety rules and policies at all times
-
Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor
-
Be available for off-hour work including spending nights out
Lube Technician Qualifications
-
At least one year of similar work experience in a similar work environment
-
Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge covering oil changes
-
Able to speak, read and write the English language well enough to follow written instructions and to report to supervisor and others in writing and verbally
-
Physical ability to perform the job functions throughout an eight-hour workday
-
Class B CDL Preferred
-
Must have own basic tools
Lube Technician Physical Requirements:
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and/or wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shop
- Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
