HeyCurated is a kid-centered, experience-focused event and education company. We connect freelance teaching artists with a variety of awesome schools to offer fun-filled afterschool enrichment classes in subjects including dance, visual & performing art, STEM, sports, and more!

We are looking for self-motivated independent teaching artists to develop and lead afterschool classes in the Park Slope neighborhood for our Spring 2023 session, starting in April! We work with private schools in Park Slope, Brooklyn and we have class opportunities Monday-Friday. This is a freelance teaching position suitable for performers, artists, and educators looking for part-time, afternoon work.

Currently, we are looking for teachers to lead or assist classes in subjects: Basketball, Sports, Science & STEM, Comic Book Creation, Visual Art and Dance.

Qualifications

• Reliable and communicative
• Willing to commute to Park Slope neighborhood for teaching
• Strong interest in teaching!
• Experience developing and/or facilitating activities for children
• Able to commit to scheduled weekly afternoon classes running from April to June
• Experience working with children, in childcare or education
• High school degree or equivalent (Required)
• Proof of vaccination (Required)

Responsibilities

• Creating curriculum for assigned classes, and provide materials
• Set-up, clean up, prep and implementation of independently prepared curriculum
• Supplying and transporting materials for class sessions
• Correspondence with HeyCurated programming team regarding lessons and class progress reports
• These classes are reoccurring weekly, through early June

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per day
