STS Foundation - Local Coordinator

STS Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing memorable cultural exchanges for young people wishing to visit the US. Our mission is to foster greater mutual understanding in our world and to empower young people to grow through the power of cultural exchange.

Our ideal candidate is an individual with a passion for youth, a desire to make a difference in their community and someone who is enthusiastic about working with people and building strong relationships. Someone with experience in cultural exchange and working with youth is a definite plus.

Work with world-class professionals:

You will become a member of the STS Foundation (STSF) Local Coordinator team and you will report directly to a Regional Coordinator who reports to the National Director. You will foster and grow our cultural exchange program in your community, with your friends,family, and school administration. Your primary mission will be to support and recruit volunteer host families to host an exchange student. You will be provided guidance, inspiration, and host family recruiting tools to successfully place exchange students with qualified host families and high schools in your community and neighboring communities.

Expectations of this role:

• The ideal candidate for this role will be a people person who is compassionate, understanding, a good listener, well organized, and someone people can rely on
• You will be a Mentor and Advocate for their exchange students and represent the STS Foundation in their community. You will support, recruit, and oversee host families and school administrators in your local community
• The Local Coordinator will actively promote the STS Foundation in her/his community through recruitment efforts on social media, email marketing, press releases, and public service announcements through suitable outlets. Marketing content and training will be provided by STS Foundation

Compensation: $1,050/per student placed

STS Foundation was founded in 1986. Since then the STS Foundation has placed thousands of foreign high school exchange students, from over 40 countries. For over 30 years STS Foundation has taken great pride in our personal and caring approach to our students, host families, local coordinators, schools, partner organizations, and everyone involved in our program. STS Foundation is a clear leader in the field of international education and cultural exchanges. Our students come from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, and many more countries in the world.

STS Foundation is a designated U.S. Department of State exchange program and maintains full accreditation with the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET).
