Purpose of Position:

Serves as a Security Cooperation Specialist/Security Assistance subject matter expert at the Army Service Component Commands (ASCC) representing the United States Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) leadership through personal contacts and development of personal relationships with a wide variety of staffs and offices important to USASAC.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):

· Serves as a conduit to the ASCC to ensure USASAC alignment with the Commander’s engagement strategy.

· Keeps respective Regional Operations Director/Deputy and CPM-Forward (CPM-F) apprised of events in respective ASCC concentrating on those issues affecting USASAC.

· Review, analyze, transmit and recommend USASAC security assistance courses of action in support of ASCC missions.

· Works issues and responses to requests for information, carrying out daily coordination and arranging and preparing for meetings and visits.

· Communicates the Command’s position on issues of interest.

· Participate in and provide strategic and operational analysis and assessment of national strategic documents, DoD, HQDA Guidance, COCOM Posture Statements, COCOM and Army Service Component Command (ASCC) Theater Support Plans, and OPLANS/CONPLANS.

· Provide appropriate Regional Operations Directorate and CPM-F with information regarding security assistance strategies at the ASCC level to enhance the synchronization and integration of FMS into COCOM operations.

· Research and analyze COCOM strategic plans and initiatives and assess potential impacts and opportunities to the ASCC.

· Assist in the development of strategies for implementing USASAC’s strategic support plans.

· Collect data regarding security assistance strategy and plans, analyze and make recommendations for USASAC equities and opportunities. input.

· Include milestone planning recommendations and analysis in strategic planning recommendations.

Qualifications:

· Active Secret or higher government security clearance

· Minimum of three years of directly related experience

· Related Bachelor’s degree

Physical Factors

• Work environment is predominately office
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of time
• Must be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying information
• Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Occasionally lifts/moves up to 25 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
