BJC has a residential technician lead position in Overland, MO

In addition to residential technician responsbilities, the lead also participates in the supervisor on-call rotation and addressess any staff concerns or building concerns as needed.
You will carry a cell phone as well.

Schedule:
7a-3:30p including every other weekend

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Franois, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Role Purpose

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities of the Residential Tech, the Lead Residential Tech is also responsible for mentoring new residential techs, assisting the nurse by reviewing the medication administration record (MAR), coordinating vitals and drug screens for residents in their facility and coordinating the ordering of weekly groceries.

Responsibilities

• Assures that the treatment plan goals of the residents are met by providing daily interventions and documenting progress. Maintains daily communication log.
• Administers medications and reviews the medication administration record (MAR) for missing signatures to promote resident safety-daily. Problem solves general medication issues and communicates the resident's medical and psychiatric concerns to the nurse. Coordinates and assigns vitals and drug screens as needed.(weekly/monthly)
• Plans menu based on a weekly rotation and in coordination with the nurse to assure DHSS requirements are met.
• Assists with onboarding of new residential techs by providing orientation training and mentoring
• On call rotation pager, for a period of a week, based on needs of program.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• <2 years

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Level One Medication Aide
