Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Laundry Aide is responsible for the daily maintenance of all flooring in the Facility.

DUTIES

1. Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility
needs.
2. Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
3. Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of
laundry to/from cleaning equipment.
4. Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
5. Identifies personal laundry with resident's name and re-marks personal clothing
items, as needed.
6. Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
7. Cleans dryer filters every 2 (two) hours, keeps laundry area clean, machines
dusted, and floor mopped weekly.
8. Works in cooperation with other employees of the Facility to maintain a clean and
sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
9. .Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary
staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner.
10. Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the
Supervisor in a professional manner.
11. Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a
positive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
12. Performs Housekeeper duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Experience in a related field preferred.
