Position Purpose:
Package and process fresh produce according to USDA, FDA, BRC and Company regulations.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Dumping & Palletizing – Providing commodities weighing from 0-55 lbs. for the graders to sort along with placing the finished products in boxes, which are in a neatly organized fashion on the pallets stacked to the supervisor and/or line leaders’ request. Employee may also be responsible for counting completed packages and pallets. Lifting, pushing/pulling up to 55 pounds.
- Sorting & Grading – Physically inspecting the commodity moving down the line while disposing poor quality products to maintain a high quality being served to our customers.
- Packaging, Sealing and Stickering – Placing commodities on trays/boxes/bags and placing stickers in an organized fashion to be sealed and stickered. Job may include working with a scale to weigh products.
- Box Maker – Provide boxes used on commodity lines for finished package storage.
- Cleaning – After production for the day is complete, workstations must be properly cleaned to how they were when the day began.
- Factory/warehouse/cooler setting.
- Associates are expected to be here every day they are scheduled be on time and stay for their entire shift.
