Now hiring SECOND Shift General Labor.

Second Shift: 4:00 pm to 2:30 am (Monday - Thursday)

Summary: Perform tasks involving physical labor in shop. Assist in multiple departments as needed with supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Degreasing, air testing, sanding for braze.

· Grinds or chips rough edges, surplus weld, or scale.

· Transports and furnishes materials, tools, and supplies.

· Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

· Assist in other departments with supervision

· Operate a powered, industrial truck.

· All other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

None

Competencies:

· Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

· Mathematics - Using basic mathematics to solve problems. Read tape-measure to 1/32 of an inch.

· Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

· Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.

· Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Able to read basic blueprints, calipers and micrometers.

· Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

· Language – Must be proficient in English. Reading, comprehending and understand the English language.

Education and/or Experiences:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
