Holland & Knight is seeking an associate to join its California data privacy litigation team.

H&K’s Data Strategy, Security & Privacy team works collaboratively across offices to vigorously represent and defend clients. This includes all aspects of consumer class actions, mass arbitrations, and government enforcement actions, in connection with privacy, data and technology-related transactions. Our practice presents opportunities for associates to develop knowledge in privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection, to learn client development and litigation skills and take an active role in all aspects of matters.

This role will be based in one of H&K’s California offices (San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Orange County). The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of core litigation experience, superior research and writing skills, experience in written discovery and working with expert witnesses, and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. We prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills, demonstrated experience with federal and state consumer protection and privacy / security laws, and a strong academic background. This position may be filled in New York City, Colorado or California. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the Colorado Equal Pay Act, and the California Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position in New York City, Colorado, and California is $225,000/yr - $295,000/yr. This range is specific to these three locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
