Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Operations Reports To: Janitorial Supervisor or Site Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: 3rd 10:30pm-7:00am Sun-Thur

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, and industrial buildings by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.

· Plan and prepare employee work schedules.

· Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action.

· Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.

· Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.

· Check equipment to ensure that it is in working order.

· Instruct staff in work policies and procedures and the use and maintenance of equipment.

· Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

· Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one - three year related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Qualifications: May be required to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel will generally be for training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
