Job description

Goodwill Monocacy Valley located in Frederick and Carroll County Maryland (a division of Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona since 2020) is hiring for a Janitor.

Starting Pay: $13.85 / hour

Key Responsibilities:

-Clean assigned facilities including restrooms, floors (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping), emptying trash and recycling, dusting, and other cleaning tasks as needed.
-Notify leader of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
-Safeguard company property by reporting any incidents of theft or misappropriation of company property.
-Implement strategies to maximize resources and infrastructure.
-Perform other related duties as assigned
-Stocks refrigerates with water and soda, as needed.
-Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
-May be required to mix water and chemicals to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
-May be required to spot clean carpets.
-May be required to change light bulbs.
-Cleans up various bio-hazardous materials with appropriate cleansers, tools, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
-High School education/GED or equivalent work experience
-Must be at least 18 years of age or older
-Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
