Schneider is seeking a Unified Communications Analyst to join our thriving team! You will collaborate with users to understand business requirements and implement solutions based on communications standards. You will also work to implement standards and participate in the technical project work for the IT Unified Communications team. Other duties may include; troubleshooting and managing moderately complex unified communications related to solutions that may involve Unified Communications (UC) software and network devices, along with OMNI-Channel solutions which may utilize voice-bots, chat-bots, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additional duties may involve cellular device administration and contract management as assigned. The scope of this position includes all of Schneider’s North American divisions, departments, and locations

About the role:

  • Work on the administration of the voice, call queue and routing portion of Microsoft Teams along with Teams enabled hardware such as handsets, headsets, conference phones, video conferencing equipment, etc.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new voice related technologies.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing telecommunications services.
  • Direct/oversee the work of third-party cellular carriers and telecom expense management providers to ensure that cellular voice, data and text plans are on the best possible rates and data pools.
  • Collaborate with key telecommunications vendors to ensure committed and contractual timelines, services, and performance levels are appropriately met.
  • Report status, issues, and timelines to management staff and project teams.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, plus a minimum of five years of IT work experience in infrastructure or network environments in network operations, support, maintenance, and administration; or the equivalent.
  • Evolving skills in the AI Telephony space.
  • General support knowledge with working with cellular and wireline carriers.
  • Ability to work with network and telephony systems, to include knowledge of telecommunications architecture, dial plans, switching architecture, telephony wiring, telecommunications software & hardware.
  • Requires knowledge of communication protocols such as VoIP and SIP.
  • Knowledge of monitoring voice networking systems such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Requires knowledge and support of cellular devices such as Apple IOS and Android based Smart phones & MiFis.
