Job description
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming inventory from dock or warehouse staff.
- Verify and update current stock.
- Issue and transfer required inventory to production, quality, and warehouse locations.
- Monitor and replenish hardware stocked at point of use in production areas.
- Organize new inventory—open and break down boxes, build shelving, labeling.
- Operate pallet jack, scale, hand tools, and label maker.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stock inventory to shelving; ability to place boxes/bins, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the facility.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Provides prompt, courteous service to all team members and vendors.
- Ability to perform general cleaning and organizational duties to company standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply inventory stocking and controlling procedures.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Computer skills are required.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs—Outlook, Word, Excel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience with inventory or stock required, i.e. retail, stocking, receiving, and warehousing.
