Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift; 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

On-Call/Weekend work required

Non-Exempt; Pay Grade: CM

Position Summary:

Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, coordinating care in an assigned room, and providing patient care. Responsible for working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health care team.

Education:

Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.

Work Experience:

Prefer at minimum of at least one year experience in Radiologic / Interventional procedures or completed an advance imaging program.

Licensure/Certification:

ARRT certified with current registration and Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification required within 60 days after sign-off of orientation.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Possesses advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology within specialty of Diagnostic/Interventional Radiology. Applies this knowledge by anticipating required supplies and imaging modalities. Correlates radiographic and hemodynamic findings with associated disease processes.
  • Operates all radiographic and ancillary equipment within multiple disciplines. Possesses knowledge of all guidewires and catheters. Analytical ability to determine proper protocols for each modality and perform specialized views for the various modalities worked in. Utilizes imaging techniques which provide diagnostic and complete information during procedures in all specialties. Possesses effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships in all modalities worked that foster optimal team performance and quality patient care.
