ABOUT THIS ROLE

UniversalMed Supply is looking for a full time Intake Coordinator for its Manual Mobility team. This role will report directly to the Manager of Intake Operations and is responsible for all communication with referring facilities, doctor’s offices, and patients relating to manual mobility equipment ordered as part of a patient's plan of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately create and maintain all patient information in the organization’s EMR/EHR
• Assess received documentation to determine if criteria is met for items requested by reviewing medical records in connection with payer medical policy guidelines
• Complete outbound calls to referral sources to educate, request, and follow up documentation necessary to process Durable Medical Equipment orders
• Provide and document up to date order status information to patients, caregivers, and refer sources
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, referrals, and payer sources

QUALIFICATIONS

• Superior customer service skills and experience
• Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Patient and professional demeanor
• Strong work ethic
• Extreme attention to detail

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred
