Job Description: Residential Installation Technician

· The Residential Installation Technician is the installation technician for residential garage doors, garage door openers and garage door screens.

· Responsibilities include the following:

• Installing door and associated system components paying special attention to detail for a superior, high-quality install. Attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship a must!
• Checking adjustment on all operators.
• Checking for proper door installation and clearances.
• Checking for appropriate UL 325 operator reversing operation and properly documenting any deficiencies.
• Checking all set screws, rollers, cables and balance, horizontal and vertical track settings.
• Checking balance on doors with the operator disconnected.
• Explaining how door and operator works if a customer is present.
• Responding to customer questions in a truthful and pleasant manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to train at the Richmond location for up to 6 months
• High school graduate (or equivalent)
• Good driving record
• 1+ year (s) experience in a construction trade
