USA Today Network Inc., Classified Advertising Sales Division, has an opportunity for an Associate Sales Manager.

Position requires sales experience, proactive thinking, good written and verbal communication skills, research and problem-solving capabilities. Must be proficient in PC applications and be able to demonstrate strong computer skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must possess good analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills required. Must be able to collaborate with others and work across multiple departments effectively.

Responsibilities of the Associate Sales Manager position include, but is not limited to:
  • To assist Gannett Classified Sales team achieve the classified revenue budget through sound planning, digital integration, project management, and client/market specific strategies and tactics in both our print + digital products and services.
  • Train, motivate, coach and hold accountable their assigned staff
  • Work closely with the Classified Sales Director and Managers to develop and successfully execute all programs to ensure achievement for our products and services.
  • Review and monitor classified metrics including existing and additional opportunities to achieve print and digital goals.
  • Provide superior level of personalized service to customers and team members
  • Conduct consistent staff meetings to keep the team abreast of updates
  • Conduct monthly 1:1 meetings with each team member
  • Collaborate with Classified Sales Director, Managers, Leads and Trainers to utilize research and develop strong sales tools to optimize sales.
  • Maintain structure alignment and participation within the overall Classified Sales team.
  • Participation in Sales Managers meetings as scheduled.
  • This position reports directly to the Director of Classified Sales.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $45,000 and $105,880. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if
applicable.
