This role is for a inside sales and digital marketing team member selling restaurant equipment, smallware's and supplies to the restaurant and food service industry, and retail customers. This unique role will also assist in driving traffic to our social media channels, websites, and increase food traffic to our showroom through content creation and establishing a consistent internet presence. We will offer a rigorous training program aimed at getting the right candidate up and running as fast as possible, with hands on training opportunities provided by manufacturers reps and managers.

Inside Sales responsibilities include:

  • Being a people person, because you will be helping people!
  • Greeting new customers in the showroom and offering to help them with their equipment and supplies needs
  • Identifying opportunities for additional sales, and up sells
  • Staying educated on new technology and equipment in the food service industry
  • Strong following up skills with customers and sales quotes to make sure no opportunities fall through the cracks
  • Going above and beyond for customers
  • Helping put away stock and inventory when needed
  • Maintaining a professional appearance that accurately reflects the company
  • Being on time for all scheduled shifts
  • Ringing up customers at the POS, handling transactions
  • Collecting payments on house accounts
  • Loading up customer equipment and purchases
  • Scheduling deliveries for your sold projects
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including some weekends

Digital Marketing Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and posting daily promotional content on our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Others. Includes new equipment inventory, special deals and prices, advertisements for sales or events
  • Managing and maintaining strong interaction and engagement with customers via our social media channels. Replying to messages and emails from customers on these channels, and passing leads to our team
  • Creating and posting 1 new blog post a week on our website aimed at highlighting local restaurants, new industry technology, special sales, or events
  • Working closely with management to plan marketing events and sales throughout the year aimed at increasing revenue
  • Processing online orders that are placed on our site, and coordinating with fulfillment on making sure the orders are taken care of
  • Creating reels and other video marketing content with the goal of driving traffic to all of our brands including Western Restaurant Supply, Western Food Trucks & Trailers, and Home Chef PRO.
  • Taking and posting professional pictures of local projects we are working on, completed food truck/trailer builds, and updating our website and social media albums/portfolios with finished pictures and videos.
  • Managing Shopify website content, adding details and images to products sold on the website.
  • Sending weekly email marketing to our customers letting them know about new equipment, special deals and other promotions.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • Experience selling in a retail environment
  • Strong customer service skills - customer obsession!
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, ask questions, and follow up with customer quotes and projects
  • Prior experience operating a point-of-sale system, cash handling
  • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Fast Learner that works well under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams
  • Experience creating quality content on social media with consistent branding and messaging
  • Experience writing content for websites and blog posts a plus

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 2+ years of sales experience with proven success in a business to business environment
  • Prior restaurant industry experience
  • Valid Drivers License with no traffic infractions or limitations
  • Experience writing content for websites and blog posts
  • Strong understanding of creating marketing content via iPhone, and other tools for use on social media
  • Great eye for detail when taking photos and videos
  • Experience operating a Shopify Website
  • Experience managing a Wix Website
