The IT Infrastructure Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all infrastructure and computer systems onsite/remote in
Johns Creek and Macon and monitoring the Company’s IT systems and networks, cloud systems, cybersecurity, backups, and disaster recovery platform. In addition, the Infrastructure Support Specialist will respond to helpdesk tickets related to networking support while working from our Corporate Headquarters in Johns Creek. They will be a self-starter, able to operate without supervision while taking ownership of all infrastructure support and general support requests. The successful candidate will also work with our Project Management Office to implement any new projects or upgrades, either system additions or feature improvements. - Implement, integrate, and support Nichiha infrastructure with technical applications and related vendor software/hardware
- Perform research on infrastructure technologies and tools; design and implement infrastructure architecture as well as upgrades as needed following change management guidelines
- Maintain the integrity of the infrastructure through product selection and development, and optimize performance and stability as it relates to Network, Cybersecurity, Application and Cloud Environments
- Participate in the projects and coordinated workflow from the project into the infrastructure service delivery team
- Develop and implement infrastructure policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Follow established procedures to document, resolve and escalate business partner incidents
- Assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of network system hardware and software
- Offer daily operations and systems support to all staff, either onsite or by phone
- Proactively communicate with IT Department regarding issues or support needs
- Deploy and manage instances of Windows Server through vCenter and VMWare
- Administer and support all backup systems
- Create and manage Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans as needed
- Manage server and end-point security and patch updates
- Support data center Infrastructure (UPS, CRAC, etc.)
- Provide after-hours support for applications and project efforts when needed
- Occasional Travel to Macon potentially required
- Role reports to Senior Manager PMO and IT Operations
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both spoken and written
- Excellent customer service ability and work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and highly demanding environment
- Enterprise server infrastructure management knowledge
- VMware or similar virtual environment deployment experience
- Cloud services experience (G-Suite, AWS, Okta, Netskope, Salesforce)
- Experience with EMC DD and HP SAN (Nimble) preferred
- Back-up and Recovery Solutions – Dell IDPA, Avamar and Arcserve
- Cisco Networking Environment
- Experience with SonicWALL Firewalls a plus
- Ability to work independently without supervision or as part of a team
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience in a Network Infrastructure support role
- IT certifications a plus (Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, Okta)
