Mission:
The Industrial Engineering Leader (also known as a Progress Leader) in Asheboro is responsible for facilitating the site's Progress initiatives aligned with the strategic ambitions. This position promotes an environment of “Lean Thinking”, expresses resource needs (training /assistance), and identifies opportunities for growth and improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as an interface between the site and the Central Progress organization.
  • Monitor the performance of the progress projects and their contributions to the site's industrial strategy.
  • Promote and deploy benchmarks, standards and tools measuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and collect requirements for potential changes related to best practices and tools throughout the organization.
  • Help to structure the site's vision and its roadmap by encouraging and supporting decision making.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
  • Develop the autonomy, professionalism and competencies of employees.
  • Maintain accurate work measurement standards such as time studies and frequency checks to be used by our staffing model.
  • Ensure that both short and long term site operational budgets reflect progress.
Requirements
  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical major
  • Minimum of three to five years of industrial or manufacturing related engineering experience.
  • Proven leadership experience such as the experience of a Junior Military Officer (JMO)
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI a plus
  • Ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills
