Mission:
The Industrial Engineering Leader (also known as a Progress Leader) in Asheboro is responsible for facilitating the site's Progress initiatives aligned with the strategic ambitions. This position promotes an environment of “Lean Thinking”, expresses resource needs (training /assistance), and identifies opportunities for growth and improvement.
Responsibilities:

Act as an interface between the site and the Central Progress organization.

Monitor the performance of the progress projects and their contributions to the site's industrial strategy.

Promote and deploy benchmarks, standards and tools measuring customer satisfaction.
-
Identify and collect requirements for potential changes related to best practices and tools throughout the organization.
-
Help to structure the site's vision and its roadmap by encouraging and supporting decision making.
-
Apply Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
-
Develop the autonomy, professionalism and competencies of employees.
-
Maintain accurate work measurement standards such as time studies and frequency checks to be used by our staffing model.
-
Ensure that both short and long term site operational budgets reflect progress.
Requirements
-
BS in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical major
-
Minimum of three to five years of industrial or manufacturing related engineering experience.

Proven leadership experience such as the experience of a Junior Military Officer (JMO)
-
Project Management experience
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI a plus
-
Ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision.

Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills
