We are currently seeking a dedicated Ice Cream Warehouse Lead to join our winning team at our Fresno, CA location. Reporting to the Ice Cream Supervisor, the Lead will be the main point of contact in shipping and receiving and will facilitate the coordination of load sheets and ensure orders are accurately distributed onto trailers and submitted to route accounting. Additionally, the Lead will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to train new team members and ensure a safe working environment, communicating operational changes with other departments as necessary to provide a smooth and continuous workflow for all daily warehouse functions.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for:

• Processes, prints, and prepares daily pick sheets from Electronic Records Management System (eRMS), for order picking team and ensures that pick sheets are prioritized by trailer, route, and departure time to ensure trailers are loaded on time.
• Selects and organizes ice cream orders and prepares load documentation to align with trailer departure.
• Monitors trailer temperature to ensure product is loaded at appropriate temperature.
• Leads ice cream team members to ensure that safety procedures are followed for loading trailers.
• Uses eRMS to process receiving documents for all inbound ice cream loads ensuring documentation matches inbound load.
• Notifies supervisor of all quantity errors on documentation for inbound loads.
• Daily routes receiving documents to accounts payable.
• Continuously organizes product within the warehouse to coordinate with sequence of load sheets.
• Uses Excel to assist with bi-monthly inventory data entry.
• Ensures products in warehouse are rotated so they are shipped first-in, first-out and alerts supervisor of any short-coded or out-of-date products in warehouse.
• Assists Supervisor with scheduling and acts as vacation relief as required.
• Assists with onboarding, training, and development of new Team Members.
• Assists Supervisor with asset management; documentation and tracking of cabinet freezers.
• Communicates daily with the transportation department to update the picking team on trailer scheduling and status.
• Reports all trailer changes and equipment issues to Ice Cream and transportation supervisors.
• Inputs all outside service invoices into Laserfiche daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of one-three years warehouse experience is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of stand-up or sit-down forklift experience is required.
• Experience with Outlook and Excel is required.
• The ability to work in sub-zero temperatures is required.
• Mathematical aptitude is required.
• The continuous ability to sit, stand, kneel, walk, and move between hot and cold environments (both indoors and outdoors) periodically throughout the shift is required.
• The ability to work in shifts, (late or early hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime) is required.
• The ability to follow oral and written instructions is required.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
