Job Description
Overview
The HVAC II is a seasoned HVAC tradesman that leads the HVAC team at their designated campus and performs as part of a multi-craft team providing HVAC, refrigeration, and a variety of other maintenance activities for repairs, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and testing of equipment, buildings, and utility systems.
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED with further education in the HVAC trade
Preferred Education:
Required Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a dedicated HVAC position. Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team. Ability to read, follow verbal instructions and prioritize job tasks. Ability to read specifications and interpret blueprints. Excellent documentation skills. Computer literate
Preferred Experience: Healthcare-related HVAC experience
Required Certifications and Licensures: Masters mechanical card recognized by the State of Virginia or currently pursuing State Certification within timeframe agreed upon by and with Plant Engineering Department Director. Universal EPA certification for refrigerant recovery. Valid Virginia Driver's License
