We are looking for an HR Manager, or Human Resources Manager, to be responsible for managing the personnel functions within our organization. The specific duties include recruitment, employee onboarding, training and development, benefit administration, employee relations, and compliance.

The HR Manager is a critical role in ensuring that our organization has a talented and engaged workforce that is supported by effective HR policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, you will be able to help us attract and retain top talent, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, all while helping to drive the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and selection: Developing recruitment strategies to attract top talent, screening and interviewing candidates, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Onboarding and training: Developing and implementing onboarding programs to welcome new hires, and ensuring they receive adequate training and support to perform their roles.
  • Benefits and compensation: Developing and administering employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
  • Performance management: Developing and implementing performance management programs to help employees improve their performance and achieve their goals.
  • Employee engagement: Developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement and retention, such as recognition programs and career development opportunities.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Collecting and analyzing HR data, and reporting on key HR metrics, such as turnover rate, employee satisfaction, and diversity and inclusion statistics.
  • HR strategy: Working with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Also, several years of experience in HR, with a focus on management and leadership. (Previous experience in the food industry is a plus.)
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations: Must have a strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders. Must be able to convey information clearly, listen actively, and build relationships.
  • Leadership and management skills: Must be strong leaders who can manage and develop a team of HR professionals. Must be able to set goals, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills: Must be able to think strategically and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and practices. Must be able to analyze data, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Organizational skills: Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must be able to prioritize tasks, manage their time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Technology skills: Must have a strong understanding of HR information systems (HRIS) and other technology tools used in HR, such as applicant tracking systems (ATS), performance management software, job boards.
