Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

We are currently looking for a dynamic and ready-to-grow HRBP to provide HR support to business units or corporate functional areas, as well as the overall organization, which includes leading employee relations, investigations, goal setting, organizational planning, and off-boarding. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to spearhead and drive HR processes and policies for our front-line employees.


This is an
onsite position in Aurora, IL. We offer flexibility to work remotely after an orientation period.


What you'll do:

  • Develop, implement, and communicate human resource policies and procedures.
  • Conduct job evaluations to build complete job descriptions and role profiles.
  • Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements and organization needs.
  • Act as a business leader in all instances, with the HR tools in your toolkit to enable the business to achieve (and over-achieve) goals.
  • Provide broad-based human resources leadership tailored to the needs of the business, adding value for the full employee lifecycle.
  • Act as a coach and resource to leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Drive employee engagement, including effectively handling employee relations issues, identifying root causes, and proactively remediating where possible.
  • Answer questions, address concerns, provide support, and engage with all levels of employees.
  • Handle operational activities, onboarding, off-boarding, and other related activities for the client group.
  • Partner with stakeholders to lead the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the entire talent management program including but not limited to, performance management, calibration, compensation planning, IDP development, and succession planning.


What you bring:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-4 years of broad HR generalist experience.
  • Experience with employee engagement, employee onboarding, and management coaching.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, coach, and influence at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
  • Proven strong change management skills-both individually and across an organization.
  • Experience with employee investigations and employee relations.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to drive difficult conversations to effective resolution.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Visio is a plus.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Franchising experience is a plus, but not required
  • Project management experience is a plus
