Analyze, design, develop, enhance, and evaluate complex learning content for both target audiences and company-wide.


Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate design sessions by conducting detailed job and task analysis and needs assessments to identify skill gaps and
    create learning objectives.
  • Select appropriate strategy, methodologies, and technologies to maximize learning experience and impact.
  • Design and develop engaging learning content and materials using a variety of development tools to meet needs of diverse audiences.
  • Educate and guide subject matter experts (SMEs) in content development process.
  • Lead team to integrate and apply new learning design methods.
  • Create job aids, manuals, simulations, and case studies to achieve defined learning objectives.
  • Conduct testing and publish learning content.
  • Manage external vendor relationships and review outputs to ensure course content addresses defined learning objectives and
    meets company standards.
  • Develop and deploy methods to assess learning effectiveness to ensure achievement of learning objectives and performance
    goals.
  • Contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement in overall effectiveness of Knowledge & Learning (K&L).
  • Recommend new training and program changes based on content needs assessment.
  • Work closely with overall KLG to explore and gain insight on existing and future training tools.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Instruction Design required and Master’s Degree in Instructional
      Design or Training & Development preferred, and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learner training methodologies, and training technology
    • Ability to analyze audience and environment to determine best learning format
    • Demonstrate ability to convey difficult processes and concepts using clear and simple language and visuals
    • Experience in technical writing, training proposals, learning objectives, and other training-related documentation
    • Possess solid problem solving and analytical capabilities, familiar with basic lean culture and concepts
    • Demonstrate expertise with eLearning software and content development tools; experience with Articulate, required
    • Experience working in Learning Management Systems (LMS), experience with Cornerstone, desired
    • Proficiency with computer applications and Microsoft suite of applications
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent professional verbal and written business communication skills
    • Effective active listening skills and follow-up practices
    • Familiar with basic lean culture and concepts
    • Approachable and effectively interact with all employee levels and management

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    noise in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the
    employee may occasionally work at construction work sites where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high
    precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in the work
    environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies,
    procedures, and applicable laws.


    Estimated salary range for New York City candidates: $80,000 - $125,000
