Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is looking for a Housekeeper Supervisor to join our team. Housekeeping Supervisor Job Responsibilities;

  • Complete all job duties in the role of a Housekeeper on an assigned floor under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director.
  • Provide supervision to all housekeeping personnel through oversight of Environmental Services Director.
  • Ensure all housekeeping personnel understand the expectations of their job role.
  • Follow up on all new hires to ensure they understand their job role and expectations.
  • Perform daily rounds either by floor, personnel, or as assigned by Environmental Services Director.
  • Ensure all personnel are following infection control protocols.
  • Coordinate and follow up to ensure any room moves are assigned and follow through to ensure they have been completed.
  • Through direction from Environmental Services Director, Director of Nursing, Social Services Director or Administrator, ensure needed rooms are ready to receive an admission(s) and assign task(s) as needed.
  • Provide documented guidance to personnel for future follow up.
  • Ensure personnel are following standards as outlined in Employee Handbook including adhering to break, lunch and time clock policies.
  • Recommend disciplinary counseling when necessary.
  • Write and post weekly schedules with approval of Environmental Services Director.
  • Order departmental supplies (weekly/as needed).
  • Make suggestions for needed equipment repairs/replacement to Environmental Services Director.

Requirements:
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or has received first dose prior to starting
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a housekeeping setting (long-term care facility preferred)
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies
  • Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; provide leadership
  • Ability to participate in and assist with emergency evacuation
