Job description
1. MAINTAIN A CLEAN ATMOSPHERE THROUGHOUT DUMONT CENTER FOR REHABILITATION AND NURSING CARE.

2. CLEANS AND MAKESRESIDENT BEDS INCLUDING WIPING DOWN MATTRESS.

3. CLEAN RESIDENT ROOMSINCLUDING BATHROOM AND RESIDENTS ITEMS (WHEELCHAIR, COMMODE, ETC...)

4. ENSURE ADEQUATESUPPLIES SUCH AS BATHROOM TISSUE, PAPER TOWELS, AND HAND SOAP ARE ALWAYSAVAILABLE. REPLENISH SOAP DISPENSER AND TOWEL MACHINES.

5. NOTIFY MAINTENACE FOR REMOVAL OF CURTAINS WHEN THEY NEED CLEANING.

6. ROUTINE BUILDING CLEANING: CORRIDORS, OFFICES, ELEVATOR, STAIRWELLS, HAND RAIL, DAYROOMS,& DINING ROOM — AFTER MEALS BATHROOM, COUNTERS, NURSES STATIONSETC...)

7. MAKE SURE THE ELEVATORS TRACKS ARE CLEANEDDAILY.

8. CLEAN HALLWAYS, BASEBOARDS, WINDOWS

9. MOP ALL FLOORS DAILY AND BUFF THEM WHEN NEEDED

10. REMOVE TRASH FROM ALL AREAS

11. MAINTAINS HIGH QUALITY FLOOR SURFACES.

12. COMMONAREA LOBBY SHOULD BE MOPPED, VACUUMED TWICEDAILY.

13. VACUUM AND EXTRACTS CARPETED SURFACES.

14. STRIP AND WAX INCLUDING BUFFERING THE FLOOR WHEN NEEDED.

15. MAKE SURE ALL DOORKNOBS ARE DISINFECTED DAILY.

16. REPORT ANY REPAIRS NEEDED TO DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS.

Housekeeper Job Summary:
The housekeepers responsible for maintaining a clean, safe an odor free atmosphere at Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in all public areas and residents accommodations, including residents rooms, spa area, utility rooms, storage and linen rooms as well as monitor supplies in these areas. Must ensure floors are clean at all times to ensure high standards of sanitation. Check supplies and inventory and inspects and coordinates cleaning of vacated and new admission rooms.

Maintains clean atmosphere throughout Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care.

Ø Cleans and makes resident beds including wiping down the mattress.

Ø Cleans resident rooms, including bathroom and resident items (wheelchair, commode, etc...).

Ø Maintains adequate supplies such as bathroom tissue, paper towels and hand soap, including replenishing soap dispenser and paper towel machines.

Ø Notify maintenance for removal of curtains when they need cleaning.

Maintains clean atmosphere in all public areas, including dining rooms, dayrooms, public bathrooms.

Ø Dust and wet mop all offices, elevators, stairwells, nurse’s stations, counters, etc.

Ø Clean the elevators tracks daily.

Ø Dust/Vacuum/Mop corridors twice daily.

Ø All common areas should be mopped and vacuumed twice a day(lobby, vestibule, etc...).

Ø Clean hallways, baseboards and windows daily.

Ø Remove trash from all areas.

Ø Report any needed repairs to supervisor.

Maintains high quality floor surfaces.

Ø >Strip/ Wax/Buff floors when needed.

Ø Vacuum and extract carpeted surfaces.

Checks supplies and inventory and informs supervisor when low.

Inspects and coordinates cleaning in procedures and/or equipment to maintain high standards and safe working conditions.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
