Job Summary: Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas in compliance with established standards of cleanliness and ownership to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenue.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain hotel rooms and the building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, employees and suppliers.

• Place supplies in cleaning carts. Keep carts and tanks clean and tidy to improve efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.

• Clean windows, doors, walls, closets and accessories in rooms, public areas and hallways.

• Wash baths and walls; clean toilets and walls of the public bathroom. Clean exposed pipes, mirrors, sinks, and walls so that public and guest bathrooms are clean and sanitized.

• Replenish towels, soaps and all room amenities, plus promotional material that has been removed by previous guests, or that is dirty or broken, to ensure adequate supplies for incoming guests.

• Wash all floors (linoleum, tiles, etc.) by hand to remove dust and dirt.

• Dust and polish all furniture, accessories and tapestries.

• Undo the beds and make them again with clean linen.

• Check closet cleanliness, clean doors, handles, and high shelves, and replenish supplies in guest rooms (e.g., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows).

• Vacuum rooms, public areas and corridors.

• Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are working and immediately alert management of any unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.

• Check lights and remote controls to ensure they are all working properly.

• Maintain a kind, cheerful and attentive behavior at all times.

• Perform other functions as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning principles in general, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.

• Ability to scrub and scrub surfaces, extend arms above the head, bend over and bend down to perform cleaning tasks.

• Ability to push and/or pull equipment up to 100 lbs. in weight.

• Capacity to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and employees.

• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
