Performs routine manual housekeeping wor k cleaning areas within a DUHSentity.
Work Performed
Emptytrash.Clean, mop, scrub, sweep or vacuum floors, stairways, and hal ls.Clean, wash, dust, or polish hardware, brass, furniture, mirrors,beds idelighting fixtures, vents, radiators, and exteriors of cabinetsand equ ipment.Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, washingfurniture, scrubbing plastic cushions, frames and cleaning and wa shingbathroom fixtures and walls.Clean drinking fountains, ice-making ma chinesand sand urns; cleanblinds with damp cloth or vacuum.Report repair sneeded to supervisors including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky fa ucets, toilets,loose tiles, brokenblindsand damagedfurniture.Follow all universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures anduse personal p rotective equipment as needed while cleaning patient careareas.May dustm op, wax and buff floors and shampoos carpets.May be required to perform' Seven Step' cleaning of all surgical areas,wall cleaning, machine scrubb ing of floors (no finish) and related taskswith particular attention tos pecialized needs in the surgical area.Perform related duties as assigned .
