Description:

The Staff Accountant will work closely with property level management and corporate level management. The candidate is responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day accounting activity for the hotel, restaurant and retail operations, while delivering outstanding guest service. The Accounting manager will personally resolve guest billing and accounting questions throughout the course of the business day for our hotel and restaurant clients. The ideal candidate will be even tempered with strong accounting, interpersonal skills, organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. Previous client services experience in a hospitality role or experience in a luxury hospitality client services / sales environment is ideally preferred. Ideal candidates should have 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years in a club, resort, hotel, or amenities environment. A degree in accounting is highly preferred, but not required.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest of standards:

  • All aspects of A/R and A/P; review expense reports completing audits and reporting
  • Month end close including bank reconciliations
  • Manage all employee insurances, including renewals and annual audits
  • Calculate, disperse and record all employee expenses
  • Perform monthly bank settlements and organize/update financial records
  • Enter and keep current all accounting related data in business logs
  • Possess high level of organization and problem-solving initiative
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team
  • Able to meet deadlines and effectively adapt to shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 software
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll Journal Entry
  • File and pay sales taxes / occupancy taxes
  • Reconcile the daily accounting and cash receipts to ensure proper account balancing.
  • Work closely with the corporate accounting office to transmit daily operational information.
  • Identify and reconcile General Ledger accounts, daily discrepancies, and aging accounts.
  • Ensure the correct downloading of data into timekeeping systems.

  • Daily bank deposits
