Please review the following job description:

Direct comprehensive strategic Investor Relations Program for Truist equity and fixed income investors. Communicate Truist mission and value proposition with investment audiences in a clear, objective and persuasive manner to ensure that Truist shares achieve appropriate market valuation. Manage existing and prospective relationships within the investment community, and develop and implement programs targeted toward the broader investment community. Develop and conduct ongoing program of communications activities with investors and financial community to improve awareness and perception of Truist stock as an investment, assist the Corporation in raising capital at the lowest possible cost, and enhance shareholder value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage and lead a team of finance and accounting professionals. Responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations within established policies and guidelines. Guide career development, succession planning and associate engagement. Ensure that the Truist purpose, mission, values and culture is understood and delivered by teammates.
2. Serve as primary representative of Truist Corporation with buy-side and sell-side analysts, portfolio managers, brokerage firms, and financial community. Frequently serve as sole representative of Truist in one-on-one meetings or conversations with major corporate investors who own, or are potential purchasers of, large blocks of Truist stock:
a. Cultivate favorable relationships between Truist and potential institutional investors;
b. Target specific investors and present Truist as an investment prospect;
c. Provide financial and strategic information for money managers to use in investment decisions;
d. Respond to day-to-day inquiries from analysts, institutional investors, and financial news media regarding the Corporation’s performance and strategies.
3. Formulate departmental goals, strategies and operating policies and procedures, and provide overall leadership.
4. Direct, design and prepare annual and quarterly reports for shareholders, financial press releases, investor presentations, senior leader presentations and Executive Management.
5. Oversee Truist corporate insurance coverage function, recommending changes in coverage and structure to Executive Management and the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors.
6. Act as Regulation Fair Disclosure (FD) compliance officer for Truist.
7. Maintain written Regulation FD compliance policies and standards.
8. Provide annual Regulation FD training for the Board and/or Executive Management, as requested.
9. Maintain responsibility as primary contact representing Truist with rating agencies, arranging visits at least semi-annually to maintain the most favorable credit ratings.
10. Oversee activities of the Shareholder Services Department, providing high quality service to shareholders, administering the Corporation’s Dividend Reinvestment Plan and ensuring proper exchange for acquired companies.
11. Oversee design, administration, and updating of Investor Relations pages on Truist website and mobile applications.
12. Responsible for the coordination and development of Truist Annual report including both content and layout of the report.
13. Serve as Corporation’s primary contact with New York Stock Exchange, ensuring compliance with listing company standards.
14. Analyze published reports on Truist to identify criticisms and, when appropriate, to privately or publicly correct errors or rebut inaccuracies. Also analyze published reports on competitors to identify their weaknesses and potential sources of competitive differentiation, advising CEO and CFO on the findings.
15. Maintain an awareness of new and emerging technologies available to Investor Relations, and develop and implement innovative practices and programs.
16. Direct procedures that provide assistance to:
a. The Corporate Development department by preparing and reviewing financial information required in regulatory applications associated with mergers and acquisitions;
b. Executive Leadership through production of information used as resource material for quarterly analyst conference call;
c. Corporate Communications Department by addressing questions from media.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in financial-related discipline, or equivalent education and related training
2. Ten years of experience in financial management at a large financial institution
3. Strong supervisory and leadership skills, including organizational and administrative talents
4. Creativity and vision; possess a strong work ethic and unyielding commitment to quality
5. Strong verbal and written skills; ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, peers, and superiors within the Corporation, as well as appropriate individuals external to the Corporation
6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent education and related training
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or investor relations-related designation
3. Proven ability in public speaking and group facilitation
